How L&D stays relevant in the age of AI

Hear from Ross Stevenson, who works inside organisations that are redesigning how people, HR and L&D teams support AI. He shares what he sees, what forward-thinking teams are working on, and the questions every L&D team should be asking now.

AI is on every leadership agenda. Many L&D teams are not sure where to start, and many are not yet part of the conversation. This is a chance to get clear on where to focus, so you help shape what happens next instead of catching up to it.

A practical, honest conversation. No long slide deck.

What we'll get into

Where L&D teams really are today What forward thinking teams are working on The questions worth asking as an individual, team and leader, so you can decide your own direction Where to start to move beyond requests for courses and add real value to AI enablement
What to expect

Most L&D teams are being asked about AI. Most are using it to create content faster. In the organisations Ross works with, some teams have already moved well beyond that. Others are still finding their footing.

Meanwhile, the way people learn has changed. They build their own assistants, coaches and ways of working, often without waiting for anyone. Formal courses are only a small part of how people learn, but many teams still default to answering every request from the business with a course.

So the real question is not "How do we use AI to build more content?" It is: what does the business actually need, and where can L&D genuinely help? That is a change challenge. It’s about skills, behaviours and mindset, not just tools. It also requires shared understanding across teams and leaders.

Ross will share how some organisations are rethinking their structure, skills and roles. You will get to ask him your questions, and we will run live polls along the way to see where everyone is at. We’re not delivering a blueprint, every company is different and will need to adapt to their needs and challenges. You will see real examples of what other teams are doing, and leave with ideas you can apply to your own organisation and context.

What you will learn

Four things you'll leave with

You should be able to start applying these by Monday. Each one is concrete enough to put in a meeting next week.

01

Where L&D teams really are:

See how teams are using AI today, and how that compares with what the most advanced organisations are doing.

02

What forward-thinking teams are working on:

Learn how they are rethinking workflows, skills, behaviours and mindset, and what that means for roles and team design.

03

The questions worth asking:

Get questions to take back as an individual, as a team and as a leader, so you can decide your own direction.

04

Where to start:

Learn how to move beyond requests for courses and find the places where L&D can add real value to AI enablement.

Who it's for

Made for people who enable AI adoption

This session is for L&D and enablement professionals who feel the pressure to have a view on AI but are not sure where to begin or where to focus. It is also for CEOs, CLOs and senior leaders who want an honest picture of how L&D can support AI adoption, and what to ask of their teams.

Ross works with organisations on AI enablement, including how teams, roles, skills and ways of working need to change. As a former internal Head of L&D, his aim today is to help L&D professionals become confident with AI, clear on what is worth using, and ready to shape the work instead of catching up to it. Every week he breaks down emerging tools, shares tactical playbooks and reviews what is actually useful in learning technology.
